The Haight Ashbury Community Nursery School is a child-centered, play-based co-op preschool located at the Grattan Playground in Cole Valley, San Francisco.
In a secure, nurturing environment, HACNS children develop an enduring love of learning through imaginary play, developmentally appropriate art and science projects, books, music, and movement. Our uncommonly large, sunny, sandy playground is an urban oasis where they have an opportunity to master new physical challenges as well.
Parent participation helps create a family atmosphere at HACNS.Discover the many benefits of cooperative nursery schools, and drop by the club house between 9:30 and 12:30, Monday through Friday.

HACNS is a member of the California Council of Parent Participation Nursery Schools (CCPPNS), a state-wide community of families and educators. It promotes active partnership between parents, teachers, and children.
